First ensure your laptop is switched off and turn it upside down on the table. Use screwdrivers and unscrew on all four corners. Now with the help of a small thin pin separate the connectors attached to the data cable and the keyboard.

Remove the keyboard now and replace with a new keyboard. You can now reconnect the connectors of the mother to the data cable.

Next step involves removing the damaged keyboard and replacing it with a new keyboard after clearing out the dusk if any. Once the new keyboard is in place. Reconnect the motherboard connector to the data cable and clamp it in place.

One you have removed the defunct keyboard, reverse the process by first inserting the new keyboard in place. Go on to connect the motherboard to the keyboard by connecting the data cable with the connectors and clamps.

After checking to ensure that the connectors are in place, put back the battery component and close the laptop and tighten the screws back in place.

This kind of delicate job requires attention and concentration on the part of the person doing the job. He should be watchful and patient to ensure he does the job thoroughly without damaging or spoiling the laptop.

How to disable the scroll on touchpad on laptop?

i have a new lenovo and im having trouble with im doing my work or surfing the internet. when my wrist hit the touchpad, the scroll action on the sides of the touch pad is activated. how do i turn this off?

Most touch pads are either made Synaptics or Alps. You should see a reference to your touchpad in the system tray (the icons to the left of the clock).

Double click that icon (or try right click for a context menu), and you should find a setting for options or preferences.

The scroll action and other special functions are contained within those menus.

We may ride in comfort while using our touch screen GPS or touch screen devices in our automobiles. Perhaps, our televisions will become touch screen, eliminating the need of a remote altogether. No more fighting over the remote, a novel concept. help with my computer keyboard?

I have been having issues with my computer keyboard for a long time. Letter are skipped, missing- keys don't register when I hit them- so I'm typing jibberish and have to constantly backup and retype.

I thought the problem MUST be my wireless keyboard! The signal isn't getting there- the batteries are dying..... ?

I'm a fairly good typist- I'm confident that's not the problem. I did everythng Icould- an still- same performance. I havet go back- and ype very slowly- and then it may or may not work properly.

I went out and bought a wired keyboard. Yay! Problem solved.

Try new batteries first. i had an old Microsoft wireless keyboard that did this every time the batteries were low! also, check and make sure you are getting good signal strength, the other issue i had was when i got too far away from the transceiver the same thing would happen.
