How to disable the scroll on touchpad on laptop?

i have a new lenovo and im having trouble with im doing my work or surfing the internet. when my wrist hit the touchpad, the scroll action on the sides of the touch pad is activated. how do i turn this off?

Most touch pads are either made Synaptics or Alps. You should see a reference to your touchpad in the system tray (the icons to the left of the clock).

Double click that icon (or try right click for a context menu), and you should find a setting for options or preferences.

The scroll action and other special functions are contained within those menus.

Now we can quickly and easily rush through the self-checkout, using the touch screen technology without thinking about it.  Some grocery stores even have the technology built into their shopping carts that allows customers to weigh their own veggies, order deli meats and pay their bills all through a touch screen.

And, imagine an entire office set up with touch technology. First, you dock your Ipod Touch so that you can get that charging and downloading the new podcasts that are available. Next, you boot up your computer by touching the screen or using your ergonomic mouse with touch capabilities. Or, maybe you have a large touch screen that sits on top of your entire desk, making it possible for you to simply sit, touch and go. Sound too futuristic? Not for long.

So, what does the future hold for touch screen users? We may see larger than life touch screen panels taking over our homes. We may ride in comfort while using our touch screen GPS or touch screen devices in our automobiles. Perhaps, our televisions will become touch screen, eliminating the need of a remote altogether. No more fighting over the remote, a novel concept. Whatever the case may be, one thing is certain, you need to start exercising those fingers because you’re going to be needing them a lot more in years to come.

I am looking for a pen for guests to sign a signature plate at my wedding.?

I see online sites that sell ceramic plates that come with a special pen, but my sister is making me a plate. I was planning on using sharpie but it smudges until it's completely dry (which I know takes only a few seconds, but this is something special that I will want to display.) Any ideas or is sharpie my best bet?

Samsung LCD TV also a touch screen monitor?

So i just purchased a nice 46 inch full HD (1080p) LCD TV a couple of hours ago, and while in line i heard a guy say that you can make this type of TV into a touch screen monitor also... Although i found that doing this would be pretty cool, i think that there is more to it. when I use touch pad on my computer it zooms in and out the screen?

Hi, I have Sony Vaio with Windows 7. When I use my touch pad to move cursor, it zooms in and out the screen although that is not what I want to do. I have to be constantly adjusting the displayy size since just using the touchpad makes display size larger or smaller. What can I do to stop the touchpad from doing this?

On my computer, I have a shortcut to my touchpad in the taskbar - bottom-right-hand corner of my screen. I can double-click it and see all the settings for the touchpad and change them, if required.

Otherwise, you may need to go into your control panel and look for your touchpad, to change the settings.
