Is a tablet or a mouse better for digital drawing/illustrating?

Normally for my art I use traditional media, but I've been thinking of going digital lately. I've been using my mouse so far, but I feel like using a tablet would be easier. What do you think?

Yes, definitely. The main advantage being that a tablet with a stylus is pressure sensitive. You get a much better 'feel' from it. The other good point is that a tablet copies you hand motion exactly whereas a mouse interprets it somewhat.

The only downside is that tablet and stylus isn't very good for doing normal windows stuff like picking from menus and so on. Its best to have a mouse as well.

Most artists I've seen use Wacom tablets.

Manhattan Graphics Tablet

I've looked into graphics tablets for awhile now, and have seen reviews on almost all of them. One review that was hard to find though, was a review for the Manhattan Graphics Tablet. As an owner of the 8" by 6" product myself, I must say that I am very pleased.

At a price of only $60, it is a great deal. The pen does not weigh much, despite having a battery in it. It's pressure sensitivity is great, with 1,024 levels. It hasn't skipped around the screen or anything like some other cheap graphic tablets do. I haven't used the mouse much, but it works ok. It is pretty lightweight. I didn't get it for the mouse though, and I prefer my normal mouse more.

One of the best features of the tablet is the amount of hotkeys around the edge. There are 26 preprogrammed keys, and 16 keys that can be defined by you.

The company that offers the $60 price is an online company called technical cable applications. Their website is Technical Cable Applications . Their price is the cheapest, and I had almost no problems. Only problem was that shipping took over a week. But, it was worth the wait.

Tablet Mouse

My tablet pen AND mouse keep double clicking!?

i only bought my new wacom bamboo tablet a few days ago,and now the pen AND the mouse are double clicking on everything!!!i dont want this(of course)so can you PLEASE help!?
do i have to take it back already??

If you have checked your settings in the control panels and can not find a remedy for the double clicking, I would recommend taking the tablet back to the place you bought it and let them see what it is doing. They should be able to fix it fast.

Is it possible to use a tablet PC for working on 3D work. One of my friend is working on HP 2730p EliteBook tablet PC without even connecting to a mouse. Please tell me whether it is possible using a tablet PC for 3D work. Since i have been planning to purchase the same so that i can use it at my work.

according to my knowledge i think that it is very much possible to use the HP 2730p EliteBook Tablet PC if you have to work on 3D software. Also i would suggest you to get the same Tablet since one of your friend is using the same and he is not getting any sort of problem while using the same application. Hope that this will help you.

Most probably this is possible if your friend is using a pen or some similar kind of object since this provides a lot more flexibility and hence i do not think that without using the a pen this is possible. Your friend must have used the bamboo pen with the HP tablet PC for achieving the same objective.

So finally i came to the conclusion that the Tablet PC can be used for this purpose that is i can use the same device for working on the same application which will guide me in my work too. So now i have planned to buy a new Tablet PC which will help me to in this matter. I would like you all to suggest a Tan;et PC for the same.

Archos goes on. And trust the move to Microsoft through the market, since the release of the latest operating system Windows 7 in late October, the touch pad 9 inches (22.8 cm). Like the Archos 5 Internet Tablet , it is fine. We measured 18 mm. The object, printed length (the definition of the screen is 1024 x 600 pixels), is relatively light: 811 g on the scale.

Imagine being able to browse websites, send an e-mail, browse photos or watch a movie. All this, on a gorgeous widescreen Multi-Touch. With a simple flick of a finger. So many great ideas in an object as fine, it's hard to imagine.

iPad has an IPS screen LED backlit 9.7 inch, with a large Multi-Touch remarkable precision. Yet, with a lightweight 0.68 kg for 13.4 mm thick, it gets carried away and used everywhere.
