The new PlayStation4/Portable!?

This is my idea for a new play station:
It would look pretty much like the Ps3 but square not rectangular, and thinner. The top half of it would flip open, creating a lap top. The screen would be touch screen and there would be a keyboard under the screen. It would have all the capabilities of a ps3. Have a webcam, speakers, and 6 hours of battery life unplugged.
Or we can just take away the foldable screen and just have the top of the ps3 as a touch screen, like an ipad. haha just off the top of my head right now.
controllers wireless... and its a laptop so you can also use it as a tv screen, so Portable! if it used the ipad idea you could just stand it on its side.

don't get me wrong, cause i like the ps3, but would just a regular laptop not be a better choice. why not sony make a laptop that can play ps3 games, then you wouldn't have to redesign a whole new gaming console.

Another one that is worth noting is Felix Schmidberger's Compenion, a designer laptop claiming it to be "the laptop for 2015." It has a touchscreen. The whole screen is also a slider, which can be moved forward to reveal a second OLED touchscreen underneath.

While all research and development is in the works, the road to laptop supremacy is one and the same because the forthcoming multimedia revolution is focused on two things only: being lighter and thinner. The other features are bound to be a surprise that will make the affordability factor out of the question!

Is it just me, or are Desktop and Laptop computers, obsolete?

With the advent of the handheld windows system, and PSP, not to mention the iPhone, and Ipod Touch, as well as many other cellular hand held computers, we can use foldable keyboards, and roll-up keyboards, and wireless pointing devices, with the exception of high end graphic designers, and rocket scientists, is it just me?
Or should I never buy a desktop computer, or laptop computer again?

I'm looking at he Playstation 3 as my new computer, and the iPhone, with Foldable Keyboard.

A lot of what people would choose for their primary computing device is related to the software available and the s/w's features.

I started with portables back in the early Palm days and love them, but for all the great things about Palm, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, etc, mobile s/w simply cannot be as powerful as desktop s/w for obvious power/RAM/etc reasons.

If all you need is a light email client, light webbrowsers, photo viewers as opposed to photo editors, etc then mobile devices will be all you need. If your needs require more horsepower then you'll need a laptop or desktop

This brief article is the first in a series which provide guidance for new authors. In addition, I hope it can also provide inspiration to experienced authors. With this first installment I will begin from the rejection pile, as it were: Things Not To Do.

My reasoning is simple, if we can help you eliminate some bad habits, maybe we can free your fingers so they can dance joyfully over the keyboard once again. Are you game?

Myth 1: Writing a book is like giving birth- one word at a time. Please let go, live free, and anticipate that this will be the first of several, if not many books. Do not agonize over each word. Let yourself experience the process of writing, revising, writing, and revising. Because after months of careful planning and work you must realize that at a certain point you have to kick that book out of the nest and let it fly.

Myth 2: Writing a book is ugly business. Enjoy the writing and when you get stuck, no longer are enjoying it, or are otherwise bogged down, change your scene, write a different section, go outside, or sing a song. You have hopefully elected this process of writing: enjoy it. It could be so much worse-- imagine if you were digging trenches with your bare hands. This is easy in comparison! Change the pace to provide freshness and vigor to your writing. For instance alternate between difficult, easy, creative, and menial tasks so that no single one dominates your day.

Myth 3. Top Secret: Protect my work from the light of day. Quite the opposite, invite friends, family or colleagues to read your work and critique it. Discuss it with those who will talk to you about it and give you feedback. The more you discuss it, the more fully you will develop it and see any gaps or inconsistencies in your writing. Great writers know and use the power of proofreading and critique to their benefit.

Myth 4. I have to know the entire book before I start. From my experience, I know my content well, but I always leave open new ways for my books to develop and evolve as I work through them. I have a vision and detailed outline for each book, but I also weave in new insights, experiences, and current events. And if your books have characters in them, don't restrict their behavior before they come alive on the pages- allow them room to grow through your work! Let that book outline and framework be flexible enough to improve as you breathe life into your book as th words spill from your fingertips, to the keyboard, onto the monitor.

Myth 5. Publishers are always correct. On the contrary, they are people! Read your contracts, be part of professional associations to know what the usual terms are and when you know your content is right, stand up for it. There are scores of cases where publishers turned down books as "trash" which later became best sellers.

Print off these points, tape them next to your monitor, and let them inspire you to keep on moving through and enjoy your writing project. Live your dreams of writing. Whether you are writing 30 minutes a day or 10 hours, I urge you to overcome the 5 myths described above and discover the freedom of your voice, write to your audience, and enjoy the experience.

okay so i have these mini white foldable speakers that i got for free with my ipod nano. How do i use them? I put batteries in,connected it to my ipod, and turned it on but the music still won't play.Please give me directions to how i could use them. Hey, I have those.

Make sure you put the batteries (four AAA's, right?) in the correct way. Sounds dumb, but that's usually a common mistake that I make all the time!

Then plug the thing into the iPod. Then turn the thing on, and turn your iPod on. Click a song and it should play (keep in mind that the volume is from the iPod, not the speakers - if you don't have the volume on the iPod turned on, then you won't hear anything!)
