what the heck is wrong with my computer..?

about a month or two ago, over spring break, i was having a "favorite movie-thon" on my computer. i put in one of the disks, and my computer spazzed out. it made this weird vibrating sound, and it wouldn't let me open it to take the disk out. i had to shut it off/on several times before it came out again. then i put in a different disk and it worked.
i recently just got the sims 3, and it's been doing the same thing. some days it works, other days it doesn't. it only seems to work when the screen of the computer is the one laying down instead of the keyboard, so it can "breathe" (it has a trouble "breathing" -- or it heats up often). it wont open, and the disk vibrates. it's so off/on and i'm starting to get really annoyed. can someone tell me what to do?

maybe the cd thing you put the cd in is messt up and if soo you should let someone check it out.. so it wont happen again
