Changing The Laptop Keyboard To Make It Look Brand-new

September 7th, 2010 Lloyd Hepburn No comments

Have you been using your laptop for a long time? Chances are that your keyboard would have got worn out due to usage. This can be replaced with a new keyboard component and your laptop will be as good as new.

Most of the professionals and others including students prefer laptop instead of desktops simply for the sheer fact that it is compact and can easily be carried anywhere like a notebook. However these are very delicate and expensive machines, which need to be handled carefully.

Keyboards in a laptop are susceptible to damage due to wrong usage or negligence of the users. Many times one can find a lot of unwanted dust particles, food items and pins etc stuck in the keyboard and sometimes keys are broken. People tend to work and eat at the same time spilling food items on the keyboard.

If the keyboard has got spoilt due to the food and other particles being lodged into the keyboard, the only option would be to change and replace the keyboard with a new one and this can be done easily within a few minutes.

First ensure your laptop is switched off and turn it upside down on the table. Use screwdrivers and unscrew on all four corners. Now with the help of a small thin pin separate the connectors attached to the data cable and the keyboard.

Remove the keyboard now and replace with a new keyboard. You can now reconnect the connectors of the mother to the data cable.

Next step involves removing the damaged keyboard and replacing it with a new keyboard after clearing out the dusk if any. Once the new keyboard is in place. Reconnect the motherboard connector to the data cable and clamp it in place.

One you have removed the defunct keyboard, reverse the process by first inserting the new keyboard in place. Go on to connect the motherboard to the keyboard by connecting the data cable with the connectors and clamps.

After checking to ensure that the connectors are in place, put back the battery component and close the laptop and tighten the screws back in place.

This kind of delicate job requires attention and concentration on the part of the person doing the job. He should be watchful and patient to ensure he does the job thoroughly without damaging or spoiling the laptop.

Learn How To Get A Clean Keyboard

August 10th, 2010 Sharon Dawkins No comments

Is your space bar sticking, or several keys on your computer keyboard are not working, or you must bang it hard to get the character to show up? It is almost certain you will want to take the time to do a keyboard cleaning. This task can be quite simple, or perhaps not if the keyboard is full of substances or maybe liquid was spilled into it.

We hope to offer you some simple and fast techniques and tips to have a nice clean keyboard. We will start with the easiest, and then proceed to the more difficult.

First, make sure you have available these items: cotton swaps, compressed air with adapter, clean, a lint free dry cloth, cleaning solution for instance isopropyl alcohol, vacuum plus a screw driver (flat tip).

Make sure to first power off your computer, and unplug it.

Step 1: This one will surely be the easiest and with any luck you won't have to take your keyboard apart. Use either your mini vacuum, or the compressed air, and try cleaning all the dust and dirt from inside the crevices of the keys. Try turning the keyboard upside down and shake it to stir up whatever could be caked onto the interior bottom.

Step 2: Next take your cotton swabs and dip them into the cleaning solution. Go about each of the keys and clear out any debris from inside of them. Take your time and effort in this keyboard cleaning step.

Step 3: Use your cloth and dip it into the solution and slowly clean keyboard areas and around keys and buttons. Let dry and do it a second time.

At this time, you can turn on your computer to see if that is all that was necessary. However, in the event the buttons and keys are still sticking you should now proceed to a more challenging aspect of keyboard cleaning. You ought to do this systematically, by attempting to correct the buttons and keys which have been giving you the most problems.

Step 1: Use your screwdriver and start with your space bar. Be very careful when taking off the button. There are many springs that must be put back again.

Step 2: After the key, button, spring is off, you need to use a cotton swab dipped in the cleaning solution and clean the areas carefully. You might like to use the cloth also to remove any debris or larger gunk that might be stuck there.

Step 3: Put the key plus springs back in place. Press a few times to make sure it is connected correctly.

Repeat the aforementioned 3 steps for the keys and buttons. Once done, power back up your pc and see if this keyboard cleaning method has worked. In the event that none of this helped you get a clean keyboard that is working, you may well have to purchase a new one.

Court Reporters And The Tools They Use In A Court Of Law

July 30th, 2010 Rene Hatfield No comments

Court Reporters are an interesting bunch. I wonder how they stay in order notwithstanding all the excitement that occurs around them in the courtroom. As the parades of experts appear and disappear, you can see them pound away or talk into the equipment that help them do their stenographer jobs. It is clear only a few people understand the tools that help court reporters perform their careers so promising.

In this post, I inspect these gadgets for court reporting. The court reporter may use 2 pieces of equipment in the performance of their career. They're the Stenograph and the Silencer.

I am going to start out by focusing on the stenograph. The stenograph or stenotype is a specialized typewriter used by court reporters to do their role. It is meant to make allowances for shorthand typing. The keyboard is compact similar to a piano. The symbols on the typewriter are phrases or words.

These are transcribed in real time to computers. A good court reporter employing a stenotype can type up to three-hundred wpm. It's this speed that permits the court reporter to capture all the words said in the legal proceeding. A number of these machines are even wireless.

The second and last court reporter kit I'm going to focus on is the Silencer. The silencer is a hand held facial cone that contains a mic. The transcriptionist uses this silencer for voice writing. Using the voice-writing methodology, a court reporter speaks straight into the silencer. As the court reporter repeats the sworn testimony into the recorder. The facial mask on the silencer prohibits the reporter from being heard during the hearing. The silencer records everything that's said by judges, expert witnesses, lawyers, and other parties in the court.

Today, other types of kits are being developed so court reporters have the best equipment to deliver an error proof transcript of the testimony.

The latest technology and flawless legal transcripts are employed in the www.FraleyCooper.com Columbus Ohio Court Reporter agency. Interested in learning more about Court Reporting in Columbus Ohio? Visit us! Also published at Court Reporters And The Tools They Use In A Court Of Law.
